New Delhi, July 13, 2018: Volvo Auto India launched the XC40 SUV last week in the country at an introductory price of Rs 39.90 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Now we have learnt that Martial Motors, the Swedish automaker’s dealership in Bengaluru, received highest bookings for the new SUV as it delivered 12 units today in the august presence of Volvo Car India Managing Director Mr. Charles Frump. Being the first product to be based on the new Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform, Volvo XC40 is available only in a fully-loaded R-Design grade.

According to report published in by Mayank Gupta “The response to the XC40 has been very encouraging. The XC40 is ideal for the Urban landscape like Bengaluru and has a host of features which are very relevant for the city. I am sure the demand for XC40 in Karnataka will increase even more as these cars are seen on roads. I would like to thank our customers here as Bengaluru is an important market for us and the success is a sign that we made a good choice to have the Volvo Cars assembly unit here,” said Charles Frump – Managing Director, Volvo Car India. Flautning modern Scandinavian design, Volvo XC40 boasts of Signature Thor’s hammer headlights, unique tail-lamp cluster and a sculpted exterior in 2-tone colour. The interior has black leather and lava orange faux-wool tones with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard.

Also, successful addition of S90 to local assembly, aggressive network expansion and exemplary brand engagement programs led to the best ever H1 sales performance for the company.
