The vehicle is equipped with 4 stroke air-cooled engine with SOHC valve cylinder. The launch is part of company’s plans to achieve 1 million sales target by 2020.
According to report published in auto.economictimes.com The BS IV engine scooter produces 8.7 ps at 7,000 rpm and the torque races 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm.
“This launch will help us further consolidate our position in the 125 cc segment,” Suzuki Motorcycle’s Managing Director Satoshi Uchida told reporters here.
The Burgman Street is the first maxi scooter launched in India after the Kinetic Blaze.
The price has been slightly kept at a premium compared to Suzuki’s competitors such as Honda Activa and Hero Maestro as also TVS Jupiter.

The Burgman Street has two technology feature. The Eco Performance offers optimal fuel efficiency without compromising on either performance or power.
The CBS feature enables operation of both brakes from the left brake lever, helping in maintaining a good balance between front and rear brake forces.
