New Delhi, August 02, 2018: Hyundai is gearing up to launch the in India that will mark the popular car’s revival here. Test mules of the car have been spotted several times across the country giving us an idea how the new Santro is going to look like. Meanwhile, the latest rendered image of the car imagines the 2018 Hyundai Santro in a very stylish and appealing avatar.
According to reports published in autoportal.com by Mainak The rendered image clearly portrays the hatchback in line with the other modern Hyundai models. There is a large horizontally slated front grille flanked by Hyundai Verna inspired large headlamps. The fog lamps come with unusual rectangular shape and positioned just below the headlamps. The twin large air damps enhance the sporty styling of the car.At the side profile, there are crisp character lines adding masculinity to the car, while the new design wheels, black glass area, body coloured ORVMs add zing to the model. The 2018 Hyundai Santro will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Renault Kwid. Expect it to come with some modern features to lure the buyers and pricing of the car too will be competitive.
Based on the Hyundai HA architecture, the new Santro, codenamed as AH2, will be powered by a 1.1-litre Epsilon four-cylinder petrol engine. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT as well. Interestingly, this will be the first AMT of the South Korean automaker.
