New Delhi, October 09, 2018: Honda is all set to launch its most anticipated SUV, the 2018 Honda CR-V tomorrow in the country. The new SUV will pounce against the likes of the Toyota FortunerSkoda KodiaqFord Endeavour and Volkswagen Tiguan. Nonetheless, the all new Honda CR-V will a new product in almost all prospects – design wise, interior-wise, it will be introduced in seven-seater configuration for the first time for the Indian market; whereas for the mechanics also, it is for the first time that Honda will launch a diesel version of the SUV.

According to report published in Exterior wise, the new Honda CR-V gets sharper styling and giving it a sleek appearance. The front face of the SUV dons a thick chrome strip – a signature touch by the Japanese car manufacturer that you will see in many of the model range like the Jazz, recently launched Amaze and the City as well. This strip is edged by the LED headlamps and the fog lamps are placed on the front Bumper. Though, up front, the car doesn’t look bulky, but going to the side, it does appears huge. Going to the rear end, it gets a lifted boot and L-shaped LED taillamps, where a chrome strip is running between the two.

In terms of equipments, the Honda CR-V 2018 model will come with a newly designed centre console to get rid of conventional knob styled controls and instead the car gets the push button controls. You will be welcomed with premium upholstery and in-car controls and it also gets a TFT LCD instrument cluster and a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a navigation system, which is developed with Garmin. The system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as well.

Mechanically, the new Honda CR-V will draw its power from a 1.6-litre, four cylinder, turbocharged diesel unit that produces 118bhp of maximum power with 300Nm of top torque and will be offered with a 9-speed automatic gearbox along with paddle shifters. The petrol version on the other hand will be a 2.0-litre engine that will develop 154bhp of power and 192Nm of torque. The diesel variant will come with an all-wheel-drive as an option, whereas, the petrol one will  come with a front wheel drive version only.
