New Delhi, May 17, 2017:The country’s largest passenger car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL), on Tuesday launched the all-new Dzire compact sedan priced between ₹5.45 lakh and ₹9.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) as introductory prices.
While the petrol version will be available between ₹5.45 lakh and ₹8.41 lakh, the diesel variant is available at ₹6.45 lakh to ₹9.41 lakh (all ex-showroom, Delhi).
Built afresh on the fifth generation HEARTECT platform, the all-new Dzire offers more space, superior safety and better fuel efficiency, the company said.
The company said its AGS (Auto Gear Shift) technology will be offered on both the petrol and diesel starting ‘V’ variants.
New-age technologies such as a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto would complement the all-new Dzire, it said.
The new Dzire has been given a premium feel on both the exterior and interior, MSIL said.
MSIL, that started bookings of the new Dzire on May 5, said it has got bookings of 33,000 units till now.
“Dzire was specially created for India, and has been one of the most popular brands ever in the Indian automobile industry. Now we have designed a whole new Dzire for sedan customers, to fulfil the growing aspirations of a young and prosperous India,” Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Maruti Suzuki, said.
It is more premium and spacious on the inside, and complies with future safety norms, he said.
Maruti Suzuki, together with its suppliers, has invested over ₹1,000 crore for the development of the all-new Dzire, the company said.
The sedan comes with around 99 per cent localisation, it added.
