There is a Hero in each of us!
Ashok Pawar, a barber in the Beed district of Maharashtra has undertaken a kind and noble mission to help protect the young girl children in his village, by offering free grooming sessions to the fathers of new-born girls for six months.
Twenty-nine-year old Mr. Pawar, who is the father of a one-year-old daughter, started the initiative at his humble set-up on January 1, 2017. Customers from far away villages have been visiting him to avail the scheme, an affirmation of the growing impact of his initiative.
Recognizing his efforts, Hero MotoCorp – the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer – presented him with a new HF Deluxe motorcycle on the occasion of the International Women’s Day. The motorcycle was presented to Mr. Pawar in his village, at a ceremony attended by members of his family, friends and other residents of the village.
Overwhelmed by the appreciation from Hero MotoCorp, Ashok has now extended his offer of free grooming from six months to one year.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Vijay Sethi, Head – CSR and CIO, Hero MotoCorp, said, “It, therefore, gives us immense pleasure in empowering Ashok to continue on his noble cause. We hope this will spread his story and help him in taking his message to more people
