New Delhi, April 09, 2019: BMW India has launched the all new BMW Roadster in the country with prices starting from Rs 64.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The open-top two-seater is available as a completely built unit (CBU) in two variants-BMW Z4 sDrive20i and BMW Z4 M40i with the latter priced at Rs 78.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The all-new BMW Z4 brings together the best of both worlds, the elegance of a roadster and athleticism of an M vehicle. It can be had with Sport Line or the M Sport package. Those seeking a sporty appearance for their BMW Z4 can pick the Sport Line package, on the other hand, the M Sport package is ideal for those wanting to add a dynamic touch to their vehicle.

According to reports published in autoportal.com The BMW Z4 sDrive20i is available in non-metallic and metallic colour options. A single, Alpine White colour is available in non-mettalic, whereas customers have a choice between Glacier silver, San Francisco Red, Black Sapphire, Missano Blue metallic and optional Frozen Grey II metallic colour under the metallic shades. One must note, the top-spec M40i is offered with metallic finishes on the outside including black, white, blue, red and silver along with optional blue and grey finishes. The 20i M Sport on the other hand, is available in non-metallic white finish as well.

Under the hood, the BMW Z4 M40i gets a 3.0-litre, in-line, six-cylinder, turbo petrol engine god for maximum power of 338 bhp against 500 Nm torque. The BMW Z4 sDrive20i M Sport draws power from a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine tuned to produce 195 bhp along with 320 Nm torque. Both the engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. As per claims, the BMW Z4 sDrive20i can propel to 100 km/h from rest in just 6.6 seconds, whereas the BMW Z4 M40i can accelerate to 100 km/h from stand still within 4.5 seconds.

The M Sport interior package is standard on the top-spec M40i, whereas it is available as optional on the sDrive20i M. Talking of the feature list, both the variants pack a head-up display, 12-speaker Harman Kardon system, active cruise control, wireless charging,  and front & rear parking sensors as optional features. Standard bits on the all-new BMW Z4 include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and BMW’s latest iDrive infotainment software. In its segment, the BMW Z4 goes straight against Porsche 718 Boxter.
